Resona: New Print Magazine Launches Rooted in Mary’s Fiat
MACON, GA — Catholic creative agency Paloma & Fig announces Resona, a magazine rooted in the Marian spirituality of attentive listening and courageous assent.
A print-forward, heirloom-quality publication, Resona will publish long-form essays, original artwork, poetry, short fiction, and lived witness to faith in the texture of daily life. Intimate interviews and stories within will illuminate the richness of Catholic life, from the hidden work of local communities to the broader movements shaping the Church.
The magazine also serves as a visual companion to Paloma & Fig’s weekly show, A Resounding Yes!, which is centered around Mary’s Fiat and how we can say “yes” to the Lord in our lives.
Resona will launch in August 2026. A launch event on August 4 in Macon, GA will feature performances by The Hillbilly Thomists, an American bluegrass band comprising friars from the Province of St. Joseph of the Dominican Order. A private celebration of the magazine featuring a guest speaker will also precede the main event.
What Readers Will Find
The inaugural issue of Resona emphasizes listening before speaking, faithfulness over spectacle, beauty as evangelization, and the holiness of the ordinary. It is focused on theological and artistic witness—formed by Marian attentiveness, grounded in Catholic tradition, and oriented toward faithful presence in the world.
Resona values a reverence for the contemplative and the enduring. It is composed of thoughtful essays, original artwork, and creative writing that honor beauty’s role in evangelization, alongside stories of real people bearing Christ into their corners of creation. The magazine asks readers to slow down and meet God in the details, honoring daily life, work, and craft as a site of encounter with Christ.
“Resona is rooted in the belief that when we encounter the Good, the True, and the Beautiful, we’re invited—like Mary—not just to admire, but to respond with our lives,” says Paloma & Fig Founder Christina Sabo.
A Marian Posture in Print and Image
Resona is born from that moment when Mary stood before the angel—the breath after God’s question, the sacred pause that suspended time, and the “yes” that changed the world. Sabo says that Paloma & Fig is made up of people who “say yes—often behind the scenes, across the country, and across the globe, with excellence, care, and conviction. This moment belongs to them as much as it does to me.”
As the visual and incarnational sister publication to A Resounding Yes! podcast, Resona extends the podcast’s same Marian foundation into a different medium. Where A Resounding Yes! focuses on voice, conversation, and testimony, Resona finds these subjects in image, craft, place, and embodiment. Both emerge from the same root: Mary’s Fiat—attentive listening, courageous assent, and faithful dwelling.
The magazine’s format follows this Marian arc. Each issue unfolds through five thematic movements that mimic this arc—The Listening, The Yes, The Assent, The Work, and The Sending—and shepherd readers from attention to action, from interior assent to outward witness.
An Invitation to Artists and Writers
Resona seeks contributions of original artwork and writing that reflect this Marian posture of attention, receptivity, and faithful making. Artwork of all mediums, both explicitly faith-based and not, are welcome, as well as poetry, short fiction, and essays. Submission guidelines are available for art and writing here.
